The resort has an organic garden, where herbs used in the tea menu and the Colony Cooler are grown and harvested. Take a complimentary garden tour, during which the chef will harvest various produce to showcase during a cooking demonstration
Restaurants and Bars
The Colony Club Barbados has 3 restaurants and bars. The Laguna Restaurant, with its open-air setting with views of the tropical gardens, lagoon pools and ocean beyond is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Planters Bar hosts themed dinners such as ‘Lobster & Jazz’ and ‘Seaside Grill’, as well as light lunches and complimentary canapés in the intimate cocktail lounge. Sunset Deck serves light snacks and refreshments including tropical cocktails. Located on the pool/beach deck, complete with swim-up bar. Happy Hour is between 5pm and 6pm every night.
Colony Club boasts one of the best stretches of sand on Barbados’ west coast and an Elegant Hotels’ signature Beach Ambassador Team provide sorbets, fresh fruit, cold towels and refreshing drinks throughout the day. There is a choice of complimentary non-motorised and motorised water sports, including kayaking, water-skiing, snorkeling, boogie boarding, tubing and banana boats.
As part of the marine life protection programme, youngsters up to the age of 9 can take part in the “Take Care of the Fish / Turtle” where they can either keep a gold fish or baby turtle for a night to feed and take care of.
