Jungle Bay Hotel Dominica features 35 tastefully furnished tropical hardwood cottages elevated on wooden posts, nestled beneath the undisturbed jungle and in harmony with nature. Cottages are spacious and feature wood furnishings all designed and hand crafted at Jungle Bay. Cottages are perched amongst Cedar, Gomier and Galba trees and spring fed stream cascades along the valley below. Cottages are not air-conditioned but have been designed to take full advantage of the coastal breeze. Cottages are accessed by a series of stone staircases – a moderate level of fitness is therefore required.
Great care has been taken to preserve the forest in its original form. Access to each cottage is through a series of footpaths and stone staircases allowing you to explore the tropical plant life. The low impact night lighting along with the relaxing sound of the Atlantic surf and forest creates a dreamy ambiance.

Jungle Bay Hotel Dominica’s visitor centre is a tastefully landscaped volcanic stone and wood fort like structure. It sits on the seaside cliff with a spectacular view of the Atlantic Ocean and is home to the friendly Guest Services team. Situated down a staircase along the coast is a tranquil space to relax in a hammock and watch the waves roll in or if you are more adventurous, continue below the deck and explore the volcanic stone beach.

Dining at Jungle Bay Dominica is a gourmet culinary experience. The open air Jungle Pavilion serves tasty, wholesome meals with a particular emphasis on fresh dishes prepared using locally grown produce. Exquisite menu selections incorporate influences from contemporary cuisine, readapted to take advantage of the island-fresh ingredients and Caribbean flavour. Dinner menus rotate each evening providing an array of catch of the day (mahi mahi, marlin, kingfish, tuna), seafood, chicken, vegetarian and vegan dishes.
The Activities Centre at Jungle Bay Dominica includes a spacious lounge with DVD, complimentary Internet access, pool table, table-tennis, games and book exchange. There are 2 Yoga studios and a volcanic stone finished swimming pool. The sea here is often rough and swimming in it is strongly discouraged.The Spa du Soleil features 5 studios with views over the Ocean, including a romantic couple’s massage studio. Professional therapists are on hand to treat you to relaxing therapies including massages, pedicures, foot therapy, manicures and facials to renew your body and spirit.
The Zom Zom nature trail on the Jungle Bay Hotel Dominica property leads to a fishermen’s point which was used in the past (and still is) by local residents for line fishing from the rocks. Reward for hiking this route is a spectacular view of the coastline. A rope is provided for assistance to those who wish to scramble down to the lava rocks below. The hotel can also arrange custom bird watching itineraries with the island’s famous guide, Bertrand “Birdy“ Jno Baptiste, who will take you to hidden bird hotspots and ensure you have a most memorable twitching experience on the Nature Island
A nature island adventure would not be complete without some water activities. Dominica is bordered on the east by the Atlantic Ocean and on the west by the Caribbean Sea.
